Welcome Back Game Night
On Monday, Aug. 17, all new and returning students are invited to the Carey Hall Parlor from 7 to 9 p.m. for an informal night of board games and community. A plethora of snacks will be provided by Heartbeat, the NOBTS organization of women staffers. No RSVP needed; just show up … and if you have a favorite game, bring it with you!
Student Life Fair
Anybody hungry for a taste of New Orleans? On Thursday, Aug. 20, 5:30 p.m., the HSC Atrium will be filled up with representatives of area churches and local businesses promoting what they have to offer you, our new and returning students! Come hungry and come with a smile! There will be lots to eat and lots to see. Be sure to come by the NOBTS Women table for updated brochures on all that’s happening this year with our campus women AND to register for a door prize!
Women Students: It’s Reel Time!
The Carey Hall Parlor is the place to be on Thursday, Aug. 27 beginning at 7:30 p.m. for all women students! Movies and munchies are on the agenda at this new-semester-welcome event, hosted by QUEST: The Fellowship of Women Students. It’s free … we’ll be doing a little community building as we settle in to watch a familiar “chick-flick” movie that’s set in the New Orleans area (I can’t say the exact name or I’ll have to pay royalties!). Bring a comfy pillow or cushion, if you’d like!
SWF ‘Welcome to NOBTS’ Celebration
All wives of NOBTS students are invited to join the fun Thursday, Aug. 27, from 7-9 p.m. at the Cafeteria Creole Room. The Student Wives Fellowship council is planning a special welcome celebration including words from NOBTS President’s Wife Rhonda Kelley. Expect yummy snacks and the opportunity to make new friends. Childcare is available by reservation at the Preschool Center (x8585) for $2/child; max $5 family.
