Brown Bag Book Club Starts Today!

Today at noon, all interested NOBTS Women are invited to the Cafeteria Creole Room for our first gathering of this semester’s Brown Bag Book Club. Typically, ladies either bring lunch from home or get a plate from the food line before joining around tables for encouraging conversation and study. This fall we’ll be reading The Red Sea Rules: 10 God-Given Strategies for Difficult Times by Robert J. Morgan. It’s a small book with a big punch! You don’t need a copy of the book for the first meeting … just come and hear more about it! For more info, contact Dr. Judi at jjackson@nobts.edu.

Heartbeat Tonight!

The women staffers of NOBTS (a.k.a. Heartbeat) are having a cookout tonight (Monday, September 14) at 6 p.m. at the home of Jim and Cindy Ennis on Iroquois Street. It’s a bring-your-own-meat-to-throw-on-the-grill event as well as something else to share. For questions about this and other Heartbeat outings, contact Vanee Daure at vdaure@nobts.edu.

Women Students: A Lunch Gathering

On Wednesday, September 23, all women students (aka QUEST) are invited to a lunch gathering in the Cafeteria Creole Room from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This time of “Conversation & Community” will address the NOBTS 2015-16 Core Value Focus: Mission Focus. Basically, we’re going to explore how this core value intersects the life and faith of women seminary students. Your input is valued. Plan to go through the cafeteria food line and say “I’m with QUEST,” and then join us in the Creole Room. Contact Dr. Judi at jjackson@nobts.edu if you’ve got questions about this event.

SWF ‘Life is a Masquerade’

All wives of NOBTS students are invited to join the fun on Thursday, September 24, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Cafeteria Creole Room. The Student Wives Fellowship council is planning a program around the importance of “Learning Transparency,” especially as it relates to ministry wives. Expect yummy snacks and the opportunity to make new friends. Childcare is available by reservation at the Preschool Center (x8585) for $2/child; max $5 family (call by the Tuesday before).
