Movie Night for Women Staffers
Heartbeat, the campus organization for NOBTS women staffers and wives of men staffers, is planning a movie night for TONIGHT, Monday, October 12. Vanee Daure is heading up the fun and invites you all to meet her in the HSC parking lot by the Business Office entrance at 6 p.m. to go grab a quick bite to eat on the way to the movies. Movie decisions are typically made by consensus, so if you’ve got a suggestion, email Vanee at firstname.lastname@example.org OR stop her on the sidewalk and tell her what you’re wanting to see!
Fall Break Workshops Planned
TWO great Women’s Ministry class offerings will soon take place during our October fall break: Bible Study for Women (October 19-21) and Women and Church Growth (October 21-23). Each class is for one-hour credit at either the graduate or undergraduate level, and both will be co-taught by Dr. Rhonda Kelley of NOBTS, and Chris Adams, Women’s Ministry Specialist at LifeWay. Registration remains open until the first day that each class begins. For more information or a copy of the syllabi, contact Courtney Veasey at email@example.com.
Vendors & Spenders Needed!
Yes! The NOBTS Holiday Market is just over a month away and vendors are already signing up to sell their wares in the Hardin Student Center Atrium from 6 to 8:30 p.m. If you’ve got something to sell or you know someone who does, contact Dr. Judi at firstname.lastname@example.org or x8072 for more details. The evening also features Chick-fil-A sandwich sales and a cupcake fundraiser so make your plans now to participate (which means come spend money!). It’s going to be a big time, even though those on a small budget!
Brown Bag Book Club Continues Today!
This week we’ll be looking at Red Sea Rule #3, “Acknowledge your enemy, but keep your eyes on the Lord.” What is a ‘red sea rule,’ you ask? Come find out today at noon. All interested NOBTS Women are invited to the Cafeteria Balcony Room for the weekly gathering of this semester’s Brown Bag Book Club. Typically, ladies either bring lunch from home or get a plate from the food line before joining around tables for encouraging conversation and study. It’s not too late to jump into our discussion of The Red Sea Rules: 10 God-Given Strategies for Difficult Times by Robert J. Morgan. It’s a small book with a big punch! Books will be available for purchase at $5 each. For more info, contact Dr. Judi at email@example.com.
