Dennis Phelps serving in key position for EHS

Dennis Phelps, the J. D. Grey Professor of Preaching, was elected as the 2015-16 president of the Evangelical Homiletics Society when it met last year in Louisville, Ky., at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Phelps served the previous academic year as vice-president.

The Evangelical Homiletics Society (EHS) is an academic society formed for the exchange of ideas related to the instruction of biblical preaching with goals of promoting scholarly publication in the field of homiletics and the effective communication of the gospel from a biblical-theological approach.

EHS produces the Journal of the Evangelical Homiletics Society. Membership is open to homiletics professors and instructors, pastors, evangelists and others committed to the organization’s goals. An associate membership is available for graduate students. Visit ehomiletics.com for information.
