Free Preaching Event trains students/pastors for 21st Century

Preaching Conference for Website2Southern Baptist leaders address topics timely to preaching and ministry in the free event, Preaching for the 21st Century, Sept. 17, 2016, at the NOBTS North Georgia campus in Marietta, Ga. Elective course credit is available.

Plenary speakers include Dr. Chuck Kelley, NOBTS President; Dr. Robert Smith, Beeson Divinity School; and Dr. Craig Oliver, Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

Graduate, undergraduate and certificate credit is available. The campus is located at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, 955 Johnson Ferry Rd., Marietta, Ga.

Breakout sessions include Preaching the Great Doctrines of the Bible, Spiritual Preparation for Preaching in the African American Context, Preaching to Millennials, The Implementation of Narrative Expositional Preaching, and others. Event courses begin Friday night at 5 p.m. with Special Event Preaching Conference with Dr. Jong Gil Lee and Homiletics with Rev. Charles Owusu. Other breakout speakers include Dr. Ken Weathersby, Dr. Allen Jackson, Dr. Jerry Barlow, Dr. Dennis Phelps, Rev. Gary Greene, Dr. Robert Smith, and Dr. Craig Oliver.
